Here in Carriganima National School, we recognise and value the important role that extracurricular activities play in the development of children.
We strive to offer a range of activities which we continually try to expand to meet the needs of our pupils. Some of our activities currently on offer include Gaelic Football, Hurling, quiz competitions, athletics, music and drama. These activities help the children gain experience in a variety of areas that will enhance their future as they learn co-operation, teamwork, communication and responsibility. Extra curricular activities can also help children discover hidden talents and learn about things outside their own environment while providing an enjoyable and memorable occasion for our pupils. |
Sports / Activities / Athletics
As part of the P.E. Curriculum, the children receive swimming lessons in the Castle Hotel Leisure Centre, Macroom during October and November.
We are proudly accredited with an Active School Flag in recognition of our strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school.
