Small Classes
|
National
|
● With the small class sizes, children receive a high level of individual attention in increased confidence and self-esteem which suits children who may struggle in large national school classrooms.
● Children quickly become independent learners and are given the opportunity to learn at their own pace. They thrive on the mixing of age groups so that the younger children are inspired by the older children and the older children learn leadership to guide younger children. ● All the children benefit from classes in Music, Art, Computers, Swimming, P.E. and Drama within a broad curriculum.
● The quality of learning experience extends beyond the Curriculum, with strong emplasis on local History, Science and Maths, Digital Schools, Junior Entrepreneur, Gardening and Green Schools. |

Children are transported to and from the swimming pool via bus. To date, the bus to these lessons have been greatly subsidised by the Parent's Association but a nominal fee still applies. Information Communication Technology (ICT)
As we live in a world that is characterised by abundant information, advanced technology is a rapidly changing society.
The online world is very much part of our pupils’ lives, as they are growing up with digital technology embedded in every aspect of their daily lives.
Therefore, over recent years we have invested a lot of time and money in technology and improving our ICT facilities.
We have laptops, iPads, tablets and PC’s suitable for class teaching of ICT.
They are also used to support teaching and learning across all curriculum areas and educational projects, depending on class levels.
In June 2015, our school was awarded the Digital Schools of Distinction recognition for schools who strive for excellence
in integrating ICT tools seamlessly into the teaching model within the school.
