Hello to everyone in the Carriganima National School Community and beyond. I am incredibly excited and honored to be joining such a vibrant and close-knit school community as the new Principal of Carriganima National School. As I step into this role, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. As we embark on this new school year, my goal is to ensure that our pupils feel supported and inspired, that our families feel welcomed and valued, and that we maintain a school culture where respect and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. I truly believe in the power of community, and it’s this sense of togetherness that will help our school continue to flourish. I look forward to meeting each of you, whether in person or through events and activities, and to working together to ensure the very best for our pupils. Carriganima National School is a three teacher, mixed Primary school ideally situated on the main Macroom / Millstreet (R582) road, just 6 miles from each of these towns. School opens at 9.10am School day for Junior & Senior Infants: 9.20am to 2.00pm School day for First to Sixth Class: 9.20am to 3.00pm Morning Break: 11am : Lunch Break: 12.30pm Our school actively encourages healthy lunches P. E. (Physical Education) for Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st & 2nd class is on Fridays P. E. (Physical Education) for 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th class is on Mondays On wet days, pupils enjoy dance and movement indoors. Alternatively, they may play board games in their classrooms or read library books. |

Carriganima Childcare Centre (Breakfast Club, Busy Bees Preschool and Afterschool Club) is ideally located in a well-equipped building on the school grounds and is closely linked to our school. This facilitates parents to make one trip in dropping off school-going children and children attending the Childcare Centre.
